A modern and healthy take on the delightful delicacy from ancient Mughal times. Bite-sized healthy alternatives to laddoos and barfis! Try this fusion of healthy and desi sweetness to bring joy to all festivities at home.
Ingredients:
- Paneer made with 1 litre full cream milk
- Gulkand - 2 tbsp
- Hung Curd -2 cups
- Nuts & Seeds Muesli – 1-2 cup
- Powdered Sugar - 4 tbsp
- Vanilla essence -1/2 cup
- Sliced & roasted almonds -2 tbsp
- Pumpkin Seeds roasted - 1 tbsp
- Sunflower Seeds roasted - 1 tbsp
Process:
- In a deep bowl take freshly made paneer with the water completely drained out.
- Add the powdered sugar and the vanilla essence to the paneer and mix well with your palms. You can also do this in a mixer for smooth consistency.
- Make a small ball of this mix and stuff some gulkand into it. Make balls in the same way till you have exhausted the mixture and keep aside.
- Take the hung curd and the muesli and grind coarsely. Chill this for a few hours.
- To serve, take a bowl and first put the ground curd mixture, top with a tbsp of muesli and then the stuffed gulkand balls.
- Garnish with the sliced almonds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds and serve immediately.
